Published June 2025: USDA Thrifty Food Plan
According to this plan, our family has a budget of $189.30 per week. Since June has 5 weeks, our monthly budget is $946.50. We elevate our dining experiences by including fresh fruits, vegetables, and higher-quality meats. Since our family has specific dietary needs, we limit our consumption of highly processed food.
Grocery Shopping Tip:
Eat according to the season. Typically, we talk about fruit and vegetables. These foods taste the best and are at their lowest prices at particular times of the year. However, grocery stores also have sale seasons. I take them into account when planning my monthly meals and stock up. For example, 4th of July is coming up, and I will be looking for BBQ sales, soda deals, etc.
Here is what we did this week to make our week easier:
Inventory the freezer, refrigerator, and pantry.
Clean out the refrigerator
