Menu Planning #144

Our meals need to be nutritious, clean, flexible, quick and cost effective.

Between our work schedules and after school activities, we need to carefully

plan our meals so that we do not end up ordering out.  We try hard to keep our

total food and household products to under $100.00 per week.

Goal: $400.00 + $33.36 = $433.36

What did we spend?

Week 1- $134.50

Peach Truck- $22.00

Aldi: $53.44

CVS: $0.80

Kroger: 54.87

Miejers: 3.39

Rebates: $15.89

IBOTTA: $13.89

SavingStar: $2.00
Kroger Cash: $9.29

Week 2-

Rebates:

Week 3-

Rebate:

Week 4-

Rebate:

Total:134.50

Rebate Total: $15.89

Final Total: $118.61

NOTE: Rebate total DOESN’T include Kroger Cash or Refunds because they

will come off of the Kroger Bill automatically the following week.   In addition, I

don’t count CVS as part of the grocery bill because I normally use gift cards and

ECB to get my items for free, so in the end the money is usually to my benefit.

Grocery Shopping Tips:    Be a little flexible with where you pick up your

laundry, health and beauty items.   This week I didn’t have all of the CRT’s to

make the items free, but I did get 3 Arm & Hammer Laundry Soaps for $2.00 and

2 Axe Body Washes for $1.00.   The retail on these items is $34.45, so I would

say that $3.00 was a great deal.

This month, my 2 primary grocery stores have provided me with store coupons for bread, Silk milk, jelly candy, frozen vegetables, and Bali coconut water.  Here is what we did this week to make our week easier: ...
