Frugal Friday- April 10

Making small changes that have big results.

Living the Good Life On A Budget can happen with small changes repeated weekly.
Here are some ideas as to how you can make some small changes that will have HUGE
results over the course of a year.

On Friday’s I share 5 frugal ideas to help you maintain The Sweet Life on a Budget.
These things will have money saving ideas and/or a way to enhance your lifestyle for
very little money.

Our state has a stay at home order in place, so everyone is either working from
home or being”home schooled”.   It is really easy to adjust the thermostat to a
warmer temperature, but instead we just added a layer of clothes.

Garden Preparation Work- We planted seeds and replanted seedlings into
larger pots.     I can’t wait until it's time to plant them outside. Fresh tomatoes
are the best!

Library Love- Before our state issued the Stay at Home Order, our library
remained open for 24 hours and allowed everyone to check out as many books
or videos that they wanted with a due date being when the crisis is over.   We
checked out many books and videos. This along with our usual electronic
entertainment options, have enabled us to entertain ourselves for a long time.

Baking Bread-   Our grocery store is having difficulty maintaining a supply of
our preferred bread that is made with 5 ingredients.      Therefore, instead of
driving to the local bakery and picking up a loaf for $4.75 I was able to make a
loaf for $0.52.   Are you interested in baking your own bread? Here is how:

During this time of stress, treat yourself a little with a nice cup of tea.     This
will help you to relax and escape a little.

What fugal things are you doing to maintain your budget?

Since March has 4 weeks, our monthly budget is $757.20.   We elevate our dining experiences by including fresh fruits, vegetables, and higher-quality meats.  Since we have health concerns and are active individuals, we limit our processed food choices.    Grocery Shopping Tip:     Utilize your grocery store’s loyalty program. This month, my 2 primary grocery stores have provided me with store coupons for bread, Silk milk, jelly candy, frozen vegetables, and Bali coconut water.  Here is what we did this week to make our week easier: ...
