Free-Bees: December

So far this year we were able to pick up 247 free items.   With inflation rising, the deals are minimal and hard to come.   We are grateful for everything we are able to pick up, mainly because we are only going to the store when we need a list of items.

As always, I am able to secure these items through Kroger incentives, Drug Store (Walgreens/CVS)  Rewards programs, sales, Pinch Me, Smart Source, Meijer’s Buy 10 get the 11th free sale, and Rebates Programs (IBOTTA/SavingStar).

My favorite deals this month were all of the picture deals from Walgreens.   I used these items to add to our Christmas Cards so that the family could have an updated picture of our son.   This was a thoughtful addition to our holiday gifts that cost us nothing.

December was very busy and I didn’t really have a chance to put the time into couponing like I normally do, so I didn’t hit my goal of 20 items.    However, I am grateful for all of the things I was able to pick up.

My goal for next year is to find 252 FREE Items. This works out to 21 items per month.  This may be a little challenging because the P&G Coupons are no longer going to be printed in the upcoming year.    My plan is to rely on digital coupons, printables from the company when available, store coupons and reward programs, and rebate apps such as IBOTTA.

What is your favorite deal this month?

Since March has 4 weeks, our monthly budget is $757.20.   We elevate our dining experiences by including fresh fruits, vegetables, and higher-quality meats.  Since we have health concerns and are active individuals, we limit our processed food choices.    Grocery Shopping Tip:     Utilize your grocery store’s loyalty program. This month, my 2 primary grocery stores have provided me with store coupons for bread, Silk milk, jelly candy, frozen vegetables, and Bali coconut water.  Here is what we did this week to make our week easier: ...
