Our Rich Backyard Life- Birds in the Backyard

We are fortunate to have a wooded area as part of our yard which brings a variety of different animals to our yard. Watching the birds is one of my favorite pastimes, so we had to put up a birdfeeder. At first, the birds were shy and didn’t come, but after a while, they started to visit and enjoy our year. In addition, we put up the birdbath for them to enjoy.

Bluejays share the yard with other birds, squirrels, and chipmunks.

Other birds also visit on a regular basis.

For example, this week a whole watermelon was on sale for $3.99 each. When it is cut up, the watermelon will yield at least 20 servings which will place the cost per serving at $0.20.
