2021- Thankful List

Thankful List 2021

On  Thanksgiving Day, I post a list of 20 things I’m thankful for.  I picked number 20  random things, so please don’t judge. These are not in order of importance.  That would make this job way too hard.  I just type ’em as they pop into my head.

I’m thankful:

  1. My Lord and Savior.  He walks with me daily and protects me.

  2. My loving husband who a constant source of strength and love.

  3. My son, who shines joy and happiness daily and is very inquisitive.

  4. The gift of teaching reading through the method of Orton Gillingham.  This has brought purpose and direction to my professional life which money cannot buy.

  5. Being able to continue to grow and develop professionally, personally, and spiritually

  6. My friends, who support me and help to keep grounded

  7. Coffee- This is truly the elixir of life.

  1. You- My blog readers.  This is one of the most uplifting and special things this year. Thank You.

  2. Warm House- Many people in the world do not know where they are sleeping this evening and keep them in my prayers.

  3. Good food- So many children go hungry every night and it saddens me.  I am thankful for the food that I have and try to support those who are not as fortunate.

  4. Nature and all the beauty in our world.

  1. Sun Rises and Sets-  There is nothing more beautiful than watching this.

  1. Experiencing the 4 seasons.  Nothing beats feeling the change in weather, watching plants erupt from the ground, enjoying the summer bounty, leaves changing color, and snow falling to the ground.

  1. The freedom that our country offers.

  2. Fireworks

  1. Fireplaces- The fire’s warmth and glow warm my soul in the winter months.

  2. Financial Stability-  The pandemic has brought awareness to the number of people who live paycheck to paycheck, our fragile shipping system, inflation, and goods shortages.  I am grateful that we are able to meet our bills each month.

  3. Road Safety-   With the increase in car crashes this year and their impact on people’s lives, I am grateful for the ability to have a reliable car and to be safe on the road.

  4. Having God look after me in so many ways, that I am unable to count.   He protects me and helps me to navigate this thing call life.

  5. My health-  The pandemic has really emphasized the need to care for your health and I am grateful that I am a healthy person.
