Our Rich Backyard Life- Garden Exploration

Slowing down and taking the time to enjoy our surroundings is essential to Living the Sweet Life On A Budget.  Whether it is enjoying nature or the beauty of city architecture, taking time to stop and appreciate beauty wherever you find it is important.   Our Rich Backyard Life looks at the beauty that is surrounding us, whether it is animals, flowers, buildings, locations, or anything else that we can appreciate in our daily travels.

The Garden Greets You

A beautiful trellis with flowers starting to climb their way to the top

greets you in the morning sun with lovely purple flowers at the

entrance to this tranquil place.

Water Elements

As you walk along the tranquility path, you hear the rushing of the water, which decreases your stress.

As you cross the bridge, to the left you see the stream gently flowing towards you as it flows over the rocks creating a gentle rhythm which is very relaxing.

The stream crosses under the bridge and flows into a lily pond to the right.

The lily pond is teaming with life and ends the water element of the garden.   While we were at the garden, there was a couple who were lying under a tree and playing a flute which added to the tranquility of our walk.

Japanese Garden

As we entered the Japanese Garden section, we were greeted with a rock garden that was exquisitely maintained.

Tucked in the corner of the garden, we found a small statue that was so charming that we had to photograph it.

Amphitheater

At the end of the walk we were greeted by a large amphitheater which is used for a variety of different community events.
