On Friday’s I share the weekly deals that cost less than $1.00.   These deals help to keep us in our budget and living The Sweet Life.  Although I do not advocate shopping at a large number of stores during this health crisis, if you are going to a particular store that has a deal- just pick it up too.

Frugal Five: 33

  The Frugal Five: #33 With inflation on the rise and our salaries not being able to keep up, it seems like we have taken a pay cut and must be more careful with our money.   The Frugal Five is a series where we celebrate our daily or weekly activities that help us live a frugal life.     Last week was a little hard to get anything accomplished, so I needed to give myself grace.   Although I did try to be as frugal as possible, I also needed to keep my life together.     1- Took advantage of Free-bees this week  Wow!  I was able to pick up a 3 lb Butterball boneless breast meat turkey, Cranberry Sauce, Brown Gravy, Jiffy Corn Mix and Bob Evans Breakfast Sausage for FREE.    In addition, I was able to pick up free tissues from Meijers.        All in all, a pretty good week for freebies.  2- Homemade Deli Lunchmeat I was able to pick up a Large Thanksgiving Turkey for $0.45 lb. and I earned a free 3 lb Butterball boneless turkey breast from IBOTTA.  Last week we spent over $14.00 on deli

  The Frugal Five: #51 With inflation on the rise and our salaries not being able to keep up, it seems like we have taken a pay cut and must be more careful with our money.   The Frugal Five is a series where we celebrate the daily or weekly activities that help us live a frugal life.     .          1- 2 Litters vs Cans My department is responsible for the drink donations for the School Volunteer Luncheon.     The other week, 2 Litter bottles of Coke were on sale for much cheaper than I ever see the equivalent of cans of Coke.   I picked up 2 bottles for the luncheon and already turned them in.     2- CVS Free-Bees I was able to pick up 6 free items from CVS this week.   I haven’t found great sales here for a while, so I was quite excited.    My free items included 3 Cover Girl Mascaras, Revlon Illuminance Foundation, and 2 Dove Conditioners.   I am very excited about the Foundation because it retails for $18.49.      3- Packed Lunch Every Day
