Christmas Is NOT an Emergency- September 2020

Stop The Presses!   Here is my first Christmas 2020 post of the year.

Erin from “My Frugal Home” tries to purchase all of her Christmas Presents for under

$100.00 each year.   She gets really creative and has many strategies to help out.    In

addition to her ideas for reducing the cost of this holiday,  I have a few tricks to add.

Come along from August to December to see how we can lower our holiday expenses.

REBATE PROGRAMS

** Through my My Points account I cashed in my points for $50.00 Amazon Gift Card(s)

so far this year.   I try to spend only 5-10 minutes per day while I am watching tv to

complete the surveys and search the web.

** In addition, I cashed out my IBOTTA account and earned $300.00 in  Amazon Gift

Cards.   Not bad for just keeping my eye out for rebates on items I am already

purchasing.

I will be using this money towards Christmas presents I can’t get on sale.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Since I am picking up several things when they are free or rock bottom prices, I am

keeping my Holiday Budget under control.    Look at ways that you can do this for your

budget too.    Stick around and see what else I can pick up for the Holidays.

What I am on the hunt for:

Tea Infuser Travel Mug

Loose Tea

Soap Making Items

Fishing Flies (for both husband and son)

Bamboo Razor w/ Individual Size Shaving Cream

Microphone for Computer

Camera Tripod

Light for the Computer

This month, my 2 primary grocery stores have provided me with store coupons for bread, Silk milk, jelly candy, frozen vegetables, and Bali coconut water.  Here is what we did this week to make our week easier: ...
