Free-Bees: May 2023

So far this year we were able to pick up 137 free items.  High inflation is making finding free items a little more challenging and it takes more time.   However, I have set a goal to beat last year’s number (247). My goal for next year is to find 252 FREE Items. This works out to 21 items per month.

As always, I am able to secure these items through Kroger incentives, Drug Store (Walgreens/CVS)  Rewards programs, sales, Pinch Me, Smart Source, Meijer’s sales/store coupons, sample requests, and Rebates Programs (IBOTTA/SavingStar).

January (33 items)

February (43 items)

March (22 items)

April 2023 (15 Items)

I am so grateful that I was able to get back on track for the month of May because April was a little light.   I am proud of myself because there was a lot of change going on in May and with the end of the school year I had a lot more work to finish for my position.

My favorite deal this month was the makeup deals because each one of them was a money maker and to top things off I was able to pick up items that I was running low on.

Since March has 4 weeks, our monthly budget is $757.20.   We elevate our dining experiences by including fresh fruits, vegetables, and higher-quality meats.  Since we have health concerns and are active individuals, we limit our processed food choices.    Grocery Shopping Tip:     Utilize your grocery store’s loyalty program. This month, my 2 primary grocery stores have provided me with store coupons for bread, Silk milk, jelly candy, frozen vegetables, and Bali coconut water.  Here is what we did this week to make our week easier: ...
